it was a typical enough windclan day, to say the least. a steady breeze was blowing over the territories with the warm chill of oncoming greenleaf. with it danced the tall grasses and small shrubbery of the flatlands, as their tips were brought to a promenading sway to and fro with a gentle rhythm. there were no trees around here to rustle to the beat, but had there ever been? the closest thing you might find is a stunted bush or small sapling who has yet to learn of its impossiblity to grow. nonetheless, symphonies of the delicate bird might rise over the wind from time to time. with the sun shining brightly among only a few billowing clouds, the day was a beautiful one.
not like she had anyone to share it with. dreampaw padded silently through the plateau, her long white fur caught by the waiting breeze in a hopeless attempt to ride it. but she ignored it, and simply walked on. of course she was used to the wind by now, she hardly felt it campared to the speeding blows that sometimes rushed over the territory. but the quiet steps she took were something for a cat of her clan; it was a thunderclan skill, not something that was worth learning on the barren slopes and moors surrounding. dreampaw had had more than her fair share of practice though, as all of her time was spend in a solitary sort of way. hah, to ever have a chance living any way different? yeah, right. a cat who couldn't speak wasn't much of a good entertainemnt for the other entergetic who had hardly the patience to deal with her helpless silence. by now, though, she was as used to it as she would ever be. and at least her medicine cat duties were a decent distraction now and again. pink nose low, the white she-cat began to sniff around for any traces of herbs. not like she expected to find any, but it was a good excuse to take a stroll. Breezefur
Blue eye's looked around the clearing for some good prey to catch. But instead The snow white she-cat with one right black paw found Dreampaw wondering around looking for herb's she guess. She hasn't talked to many of the apprentice's of the Clan and she wonder how Dreampaw's training was going. Breezefur quickly walked up to the young she-cat with a kind smile "Hello Dreampaw, what's going on how's your training coming along." The snow white warrior asked with blue eye's on the white apprentice. She some times wondered if Dreampaw wondered if she belonged to WindClan. Breezefur asked herself that same question everyday and asked what she felt like this. It was like when she lost her adopted mother and then her mentor. She felt lost and confused at times. Breezefur shook her head to clear this thoughts away as she looked at Dreampaw waiting for an answer of some kind.

dreampaw heard the footsteps before the cat came within sight, and she hardly othered to look up from the weedy eaqrth until the steps were beside her. then, hesitantly, her shocking violet gaze rose to meet the cat who had appeared beside her. ah yes, breezefur. she only knew that cat by name and not much else since the two hadn't really met previously. but now she seemed open to friendly conversation. which, actually, almost made the long-furred white she-cat laugh. the older cat was looking down at her as if she was waiting for some sort of reply; a spoken one. did she not know already? she'd thought that everyone knew of her muteness. or, it crossed her mind suddenly that this was some sort of joke, a prank on her. for an instant her blood ran a little colder with suspiciou and nerves.
but no, breezefur didn't look like the kind of cat who would do that kind of thing to an apprentice. her expectant look, however, seemed genuine. well, she certainly wouldn't recieve what she was searching for. obviously. for a moment there was just an ackward silence as the two stood there with gazes locked. then, finally, dreampaw gave her tail a small flick in a hopeless indication of her condition. breezefur probably wouldn't understand though. just because she couldn't speak didn't mean that she didn't have other things to say, and unique ways of saying them. the problem was that nobody had ever bothered to take the time and patience to listen. Breezefur
The snow white she cat looked at the apprentice as she flicked her tail But didn't speak a word. Her bright blue eye's widened as she started to understand "I'm sorry Dreampaw,I-I didn't realize you were...........Mute. I don't talk to the Apprentice's much" said Breezefur with a kind smile on her face. She sighed as she flicked her white tail in the direction of a area with some dirt ground. Breezefur walked in that direction and flicked her tail in a way to tell the apprentice to follow her. Breezrfur came in to a small clearing near a small stream that was going through WindClan. There was an area with soft dirt. She sat beside the stream waiting for Dreampaw.

dreampaw merely blinked as breezefur spoke. so she really hadn't known? well, that was knew. the disability had been gossiped about quite a bit when she was born, and now as the new medicine cat apprentice word spread even faster. but, whatever. perhaps this was one of the last to find out. it would be interesting to see how this cat gave her 'special' treatment, like everyone else did. how long could she stand whatever sympathy she got? that was why she hated being around other cats so much. they never listened to what she had to say simply because she couldn't say the words, and they thought of her as a problematic child to keep out of sight and protected. no cat had every been any different; it wasn't like this warrior would be any easier to stand.
when breezefur indicated a more earthen area of the plateau, the long-furred apprentice just stood there for a moment. why did she have to follow? there wasn't any obvious point in padding after her; all there was was a river and some soft dirt. there didn't seem to be much of a point to it. well, whatever. if she was stuck with this warrior for a few minutes, she migth as well see what the older she-cat had to say. dreampaw gave her white fur a long shake before trotting to where breezefur sat and stopped beside her, violet oculi looking both bored and inquisitive. Breezefur
The snow white she cat smiled when Dreampaw actually followed. Her bright blue eye's sparkled "I want to help you with talking to other's" she told the young apprentice with a smile. Breezefur hoped that she didn't take it the wrong way and run off angry at her. She just wanted to help "OK, for starter's this is the letter "A" this is "B" and this is "C", there called letter's and two leg's use them to right Messages to each other." said Breezefur with a proud smile. She hoped that the young apprentice would want to learn this "I want to teach you what I learned while with two legs, i was cought before coming to WindClan as a kit" Breezefur felt that she could most likely tell the apprentice anything.
It would be fun in some way to help young Dreampaw. It was make life easier on Dreampaw if she had a way to talk and didn't have to try to speak in some way without words. It was hard on this young cat, she knew this. it was hard on Brezefur when she first came to WindClan and had no memory of where she came from before The two leg place and then finally finding WindClan. A Clan felt like the right place for her, but not this one. Breezefur looked at the apprentice to see if she was interested in learing this or being trained in knowing this.
